Your Puppy Package:
We will have little puppy blankets to send home with your puppy. They will smell like their mama and give them some comfort in their first days in their new home with you. We will also have new collars on the puppies, so you can wait until they grow a little to get the next size up. There will be some puppy treats, a toy, and some of the food we’ve listed below to get you started.
Here are some other supplies we recommend when bringing your puppy home.
Puppy crate: The puppies are kept in a 4×4 crate at our house with their litter mates. We love the Midwest Puppy Playpens – they are easy to fold up and move around, and also easy to clean. For a single puppy, you’d want a smaller size; there are many different size options on Amazon if you type in: “midwest puppy playpen.”
We feed Nutrisource puppy food. We will send home a small bag of food with your puppy, and we recommend keeping your puppy on puppy food for 1 year. It’s not recommended to continue to switch brands of food, as that is hard on puppy’s stomach.
